Check the mysql table you're using. In this example, we're using ISPConfig which sets this configuration file for postfix (in /etc/postfix/mysql_virtual_email2email.cf) :

root@messagerie-prod[10.10.10.19] ~ # cat /etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_email2email.cf
user = user
password = passwd
dbname = dbispconfig
table = mail_user
select_field = email
where_field = email
additional_conditions = and postfix = 'y' and server_id = 1
hosts = 127.0.0.1
root@messagerie-prod[10.10.10.19] ~ #

This configuration file indicates that the table that postfix is using to look for mailbox accounts is dbispconfig.mail_user. You want to change the value of the quota column to something sensible.

For example, I had a pager from user Boulkaboul who said <He> couldn't change her password in roundcube because of that quota_value_error. I looked at the table and found that <He> had a value of -1 :

mysql> select quota,email,name from mail_user;
[...]
|   209715200 | f.sayah@XXX                | SAYAH F.                               |
|   524288000 | s.mouloua@XXX              | S. Mouloua                             |
|   524288000 | d.toumert@XXX              | d. Toumert                             |
|   524288000 | n.mahdi@XXX                | N. MEHDI                               |
|   524288000 | m.menacer@XXX              | M. MENACER                             |
|   524288000 | t13@XXX                    | t13                                    |
|   524288000 | a.chaouche@XXX             | A. CHAOUCHE                            |
|          -1 | ali.mellah@XXX             | ALI MELLAH                             |
|          -1 | m.boulkaboul@XXX           |                                        |
+-------------+----------------------------+----------------------------------------+

So in my case what I did is just change that value to something similar to what the other users have. Problem fixed !

mysql> update mail_user set quota=209715200 where login='m.boulkaboul@algerian-radio.dz';
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)
Rows matched: 1  Changed: 1  Warnings: 0

mysql> Bye
