find /var/ -name vmail -prune -o -name "*mysql*"

Search the /var/ directory and :

  1. If the name of the current item is vmail then prune it (exclude its children), because I'm sure the thing I'm looking for isn't there and the directory has over a million files
  2. Or (-o) print the name of anything that looks like "mysql"

Proof that the directory has over a million files

root@messagerie[CHROOT][10.10.10.19] /var/vmail # find -type f | wc -l
1114924
root@messagerie[CHROOT][10.10.10.19] /var/vmail #

That's 1 114 924 files.
